Mrs. Faimon's words about Josiah
Josiah is my selection for Student of the Month because he has a positive and pleasant attitude towards his school work and his classmates. He works hard in class and hands in well thought out and complete assignments. He also has a special knack for not being a part of some of the conflicts that third grade boys and girls sometimes get involved in. Josiah has a great sense of humor and is fun to be around. He well deserves being chosen as February's Student of the Month. Congratulations, Josiah!
The Post Award Ceremony Interview - (you know, kinda like they do after someone gets an Oscar. ha!)
Tracy: So, how did it feel to be named "student of the month"?
Josiah: Well, when I got up there... I turned around and it was like a million people were all looking at me. Now I know what its like to be famous. I'm like a celebrity.
Tracy: Wow! How does THAT feel???
Josiah: My heart got to pounding really hard. Cause I just kept thinking, "Everyone is looking at me!" It pounded so hard, it felt like my chest would explode. But I did like that they said I'm a fun person. And.... I'm the first person in our family to be named "student of the month", even before Truman!
Tracy: I sure am proud of you... but, don't rub that in with Truman, OK?
Josiah: OK
