We continued our drive on the Trail Ridge, stopping and viewing the changes in the eco system. The tree lines and then the tundra and view of the glaciers and the beautiful views of the tops of the mountains surrounding us and words just cannot describe the impact of the views we beheld. We then made a complete loop and exited the Rocky Mountain National Forrest on the Southwest end and went through Winter Park and on to Denver, and then the next day . . . home to Topeka!

After our fun on the horse riding adventure, we drove on up following the Trail Ridge.
We went for a hike to Bear Lake.

Horseback Riding in the Rocky Mountians

Wednesday morning we headed into the Rocky Mountain National Forrest. We took every opportunity to view the scenery at the road side vantage points. We also went on a 2 hour horse back ride in the mountains.

Estes Park Colorado

We left Colorado Springs and drove to Estes Park. Wow! What a beautiful place God has made for us to see! We loved every minute. We drove around, had dinner, and then went out to Lily Lake, past the Twin Sisters and walked around the lake at sunset. It was glorious!

Vacation

Gary and Barry began our trip to Colorado via a flight to California, then a road trip in Gary's newly aquired Ford F150 truck. And, yes, he is so thrilled to have a truck! I am so happy for him to have this blessing. They stopped in Albuquerque and visited a few places. The Roten Family's Home in Albuquerque:
