HOUSES in Texas

Gary and Judith were preschoolers when living here.

Carla was a preschooler. Gary 6th grade. Judith 8th grade.

Kevin, these pictures are because you requested them........

Great Grancie's house - it has really become run down....SAD!

Mamma's house - It looked good.

Uncle Henry Manasco (90th birthday party)

What are the odds of Grancie's only living aunt turning 90 and Grandad's only living uncle turning 90. AND then to have their birthday parties on the same day! Thus allowing Grancie and Grandad to go to the parties.

Grandad and Wanda

When we were in Texas visitng Wanda, it was really a special time watching Wanda interact with Grandad. It was so obvious she knew who he was. Grandad would sit and rub her arm and she would look at him and give a giggle. Then after a while she would move her arm away giggling even more. After a few minutes, she would put her arm back up and he knew what she wanted......she wanted him to rub it again. It really became a game with her. They did it over and over and over again. I got involved because I would take a picture.....why? because as grandad would rub her arm, she would immediately laugh and point to me to take a picture (I'm assuming it was the flash that she wanted.) That is why there are so many pictures! Her reactions were truly what we have seen with 3 year olds in our family.

I also asked Wanda if she remembered "Sonny" (Grandad). She would look at him and giggle. I asked the question several times and each time she looked at Grandad and giggled. No one will ever tell me she does not know who her brother is! The joy on her face with Grandad was precious.

It was such a wonderful visit. She was so pleasant and giggly. She does love to SING. Billie Sue had told us some stories of her singing, as well. While we were there, she sang "You are My Sunshine, My only Sunshine" and we also heard her sing what we believe to be "Jesus Loves Me." She sang them many times for us. OH, YEAH, rhythm.....she has it. As she sang, there were times her right arm would keep the beat. I tapped my foot to see if she was consistent with her rhythm and she was! HUM.....that has got to be born in you.

Wanda

I wish I had done this more......I did not realize I could do this. She was singing the whole time we were visiting her.
